January 5—Blogworthy
Yesterday, January 5, 2012, was a lovely day. The Lincoln, NE weather was 70 degrees and sunny! I’m not sure if it was a record-breaker, but it was definitely weather that put a smile on everyone’s face.
I was notified of some fantastic news when I got to work. I had applied for 10 grants for 10 NE high schools and all of them were approved for the full amount of funding! All of my coworkers were so excited for me, and it gave me great confidence in my work. It’s time to update my resume!
After work I went to see My Week With Marilyn, with my friend Julia. I loved it! I’ve never really been interested in learning about Marilyn Monroe until I saw the movie. Michelle Williams did a divine job acting as MM and I fell in love with the time period the movie was set in.
On Tuesday night, I thoroughly cleaned out my closet/room and compiled 3 bags of things that need to exit my life (clothes, shoes, junk, etc.). It feels so refreshing to get rid of useless stuff. Anyway, I found a stack of magazines that have been accumulating in my closet for a while and decided to research how to reuse recycled magazines. I’ve been working on a few crafts and will be displaying them here as soon as they are completed.
